Its getting harder to find nice woolly blankets-if I ever come across them, they’ve usually been put in a washing machine that’s been too thorough, and they’re a bit matted and rough. But, occasionally, I’ll find a nice vintage English woolly blanket in good condition, and I’ll make a cushion and hot water bottle covers. The covers are sewn around the edges with blanket stitch, naturally, and fastened with a vintage button. Finishing touches might be a felt flower, or button patterns. These covers come complete with a hot water bottle. There’s nothing that can beat a hot water bottle for comfort when you’re feeling chilly and a bit under the weather. These covers can be personalised-send details of first name, initials or nickname, as before. Please don’t forget to check spellings!
