Reiki Cushions -

Each cushion is made individually by hand, sometimes using recycled fabrics gleaned from local shops and car-boot sales.
I know that there are a lot of beautiful new fabrics in haberdashery shops, but I rather like the idea of taking fabrics that are unwanted in their present form, and re-inventing them into a new incarnation. This is what comes from having a thrifty mum!

New uses for old fabrics motivates and inspires me. Sometimes, I’ll find a set of vintage buttons, and plan a cushion around them. Finishing touches like these, or sequins, ribbons or simple embroidery make each cushion unique and personal.
Most of the cushions can be personalised with a simply-sewn first name, initial or even a nickname (as long as it’s not too rude!!)
Finally, each cushion is charged with Reiki, so that it will be filled with loving energy-what a lovely present to give to someone special!

All cushions are filled with either a purpose made feather pad or polyester cushion...please make choice whilst ordering.

7: Green velvet cushion made from antique velvet, decorated with a felt bummble bee,sewn fabric flower and the words "bee happy" are hand sewn on the cushion. On the back the cushion is flattened with 3 hand made buttonholes in contrasting cottons and different buttons.

9: Cushion made from a vintage English wool blanket, decorated with a simple square pattern sewn with denim blue chunky wool and tied with a knot. Fastened at the back with one large vintage button.

11: Cushion made from old Levis with center part decorated with 3 felt flowers. The back of the cushion is made from green and white stripey contrasting fabric and fastened with 2 buttons through 2 hand made buttonholes.

12: Cushion made from a vintage piece of flowery fabric, bordered with pink satin ribbon and red checkered gingham. A sprinkling of sequins and roughly cut pink gingham ribbon finish the cushion. The pink is made from pink cotton.
